At the Book Expo DEc. 2018

December 8 saw the much awaited Book Expo at Eisenhower Center in The Villages. More that seventy authors set up tables from which to talk about and sell their creative books. As I walked through the three rooms there, every genre from children’s, teen’s, adult fiction, nonfiction, memoir, sports books, how-to-books, historical fiction and spiritualism were displayed. We writers look forward to these events and prepare with incentives for our visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause visited our booths frequently, there were no children in sight, but they kept smiling and ho-ho-hoing. Timing is Everything people whispered to each other. I visited with many other authors in between sitting at my uneventful table. Well–not exactly uneventful. I did sell six Of my Unsung Hero books, which is more thaN many others sold. Still, writers are a resourceful lot. We packed up, went home, and either planned for our next event, ore started writing anew. Next year I will have two books for sale–Unsung Hero and Dandelion Child.

NEXT YEAR”S EXPO IS SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 16 WHEN IT WILL CONFLICT WITH THE LARGE MODEL RAILROAD DISPLAY.
